Kate Bosworth was born in Los Angeles, California, to Patricia (Potter), a homemaker, and Harold Bosworth, who was an executive for Talbots. Unlike the characters Bosworth has portrayed in television and in film, which are known as “townies”, Kate spent most of her childhood in different cities and states. At age 6, she and her parents moved to San Francisco, then to Connecticut at 9, and to Cohasset, Massachusetts, at 14. It was at 14 that Kate, a champion equestrian, learned of a casting call for a movie about horses.

Although Kate attended the open audition in New York for the Robert Redford film The Horse Whisperer (1998) simply in hopes of getting the experience of what it was like to audition for a movie role, she won the role of the female lead’s best friend and the chance to work with director/star Robert Redford. Her previous acting experience had consisted of singing at county fairs in California and acting in a community theatre production of “Annie”. In 2000, she landed the role of the bratty sister in the feature film The Newcomers (2000) and the part of a football co-captain’s girlfriend in the Denzel Washington movie Remember the Titans (2000).

If you are a Capricorn (December 22 to January 20), you are a personality to be reckoned with, but in a quiet, subtle way. These are people who will achieve whatever goal they set for themselves. They have the grit and determination to see out a project or an objective, no matter how long it takes. They are surprisingly witty, when they allow themselves to be, although they’re not the fiery, flashy kind.

A Capricorn will always be on time, will always have positions of responsibility. They make good psychologists because of their ability to listen to short-tempered people or people on a rant. They have an ability to stay calm and reasoned in a disagreement or conflict, even though the other side may be more passionate. They are deep thinkers who have good memories and a never-ending intellectual curiosity.  In their relationships, they can have a tendency towards unhappiness.

The sign of Virgo steadies the ever-shifting influence of the Moon. Virgo moon has keen analytical leanings with a precise, discriminating mind. They do not seek knowledge simply for the purpose of knowledge but for the purpose of practical application. Their initial reaction to the sense-impressions they take in from the world is to analyze and question. Moon in Virgo people are sometimes so suspicious they doubt what they see with their own eyes.

They prefer to discuss concepts and investigate ideas held by others while holding fast to many of their own preconceived notions. They are not so unreasonable, though, that they will cling to a theory once the facts have proven them wrong. They are seekers of veritas, and consider truth to be what is left after inaccuracies have been revealed. No one would consider them a naive idealist wearing rose-tinted glasses. Their realistic pragmatism makes them well suited in business. They focus on building long-term gains rather than get-rich quick money schemes.

Mercury in Aquarius shows a subtle and ingenious mind, curious, critical, and creative. As a native of this position you hold a large concern for other people and have great understanding of human nature. You like to analyze personality and motive, and with your finely tuned skills of observation are able to foretell exactly how someone will respond in a particular situation. You are a infamous people watcher—in subways, buses, airports, and eateries.

Yours is a comprehensive and emotionally dispassionate viewpoint. Aquarius is the sign of the truth-seeker, which describes the way your mind operates. You appreciate intellectual conversations about theory, philosophy, and the fate of humanity. Odds are you have read the classic works of our great thinkers. You are wonderfully fitted for work in progressive professions—psychology, inventions, the business of communications and sciences. Sometimes you may seem strange, for your ideas are venerable and you also relish saying things that jar other people.

Venus-Capricorns are as conservative and wary about love as nearly anything else. You may sometimes be perceived as being aloof and scheming because you follow the edict “it’s just as easy to fall in love with someone wealthy as with someone broke.” In truth, this was plausibly said originally by a Venus-Capricorn. However, it is far from representing the entire story. When in love, you are faithful, trustworthy, and steady.

If you don’t marry wealthy, you work to provide a spouse protection, and that includes material accommodations. You may not be affectionate and elegant, but what you say you mean. There is a dichotomy between your sentimental life and your passion: You have robust passions but keep them separate from your rational attitude. You can be sexually connected and disconnected at the same time. Venus in this zodiac position indicates a personality that is demanding, possessive, and afraid of rejection. Once shunned, Venus-Capricorn’s response is total coldness.

In Aquarius, the spirit of Mars is displayed on a mental plane. You are prompt in your responses, but before you act you need to be engaged intellectually. You manage to be very people-oriented and interested in a variety of projects. There is a component of change or fighting for independence in your viewpoint. Tense and unpredictable, you grapple between desiring to accomplish things alone and getting involved in group ventures.

There is also uncertainty in your intimate nature. You have powerful passions that are not always reachable. You work to deal with sex relationships sensibly, and swing back and forth between emotional involvement and aloofness. You recognize sensual desire but don’t want to be shackled by it. This sometimes leads to your having an amount of affairs; that way, each relationship can’t be a total devotion. As a Mars-Aquarian you have vital insights into human character.

Nurturing yet dangerous, vital and deadly, water is a ripe with contradiction. In moderate amounts it is a blessing, in over abundance, a curse. Water is the only element with the ability to put out fire and make things grow and thrive. Water is vital to our very survival. Without water crops wither and die and there is no food. The human body, and in fact, all life on Earth is dependent upon water. Yet, even for life, water has the potential to be deadly. Too much water in the body leads to water intoxication and even death. It is, however, a delicate balance.

Too little water and all life withers and dies with the effects of the hot sun. Too much water chokes out needed oxygen and drowns. It is for this very reason the element water is represented by the color black. Water rules intelligence and wisdom. People born under the element water are uncommonly intelligent and capable. For all their wisdom and reasoning ability, water people tend to have difficulty making and sticking to decisions. Diplomatic, and intuitive, water people are flexible. They have a special ability to ‘go with the flow’ and are usually easygoing.
